Information brochure

The TW concrete bollard from Tenwinkel combines proven heavy concrete technology with a well-engineered design for versatile corner and structural protection in industrial halls. As a manufacturer since 1959, Tenwinkel offers a robust concrete bollard with its characteristic conical profile and a weight of 370 kg, providing reliable impact protection for a wide range of applications.

Main advantages:

  • Impact protection for hall doors and driveways – prevents costly collision damage

  • Protection for rainwater downpipes – safeguards critical building installations

  • Position markers on company premises – enables flexible space division and clear orientation

  • Stopper for open gate systems – ensures reliable limitation of passageways

Four integrated reflectors ensure optimal visibility even in low-light conditions, while easy repositioning allows maximum flexibility of use. We manufacture the TW concrete bollard with a height of 1 meter, a lower diameter of 56 centimeters, and an upper diameter of 38 centimeters, in compliance with DIN EN ISO 9001 standards in Germany. Thanks to our in-house painting facility, each unit can be finished in your preferred color.

Bollard applications and areas of use

Traffic safety in various environments

Concrete bollards are used for structured traffic control in industrial yards, storage areas, loading zones, and parking facilities. They serve as barrier posts to clearly separate traffic routes, parking spaces, and safety zones. Due to their mass and stable anchoring, they provide strong protection even at low impact speeds. At the same time, they help enforce internal traffic regulations and improve visibility and organization within operational areas.

Accident prevention through strategic placement

Bollards are a key element in preventing accidents, providing clear physical boundaries and improving driver awareness. Their high visibility, supported by integrated reflectors, ensures safe traffic flow. The passive restraining effect of the bollards reduces the risk of impact damage and enhances overall workplace safety. Combined with other safety components, they enable the development of site-specific protection concepts. Concrete bollards are therefore an integral part of modern traffic management and industrial safety planning.

Protection of critical areas and facilities

On company premises and in sensitive areas such as fuel stations, concrete bollards provide reliable impact protection and support effective traffic control. Our TW concrete bollard protects hall doors, driveways, and downpipes from damage caused by forklifts or other vehicles. With a weight of 370 kg and an optimized conical design, it acts as a highly effective barrier that can be repositioned when required. These models are particularly suitable for logistics zones, unloading areas, and as fixed markers on company grounds.

Material - concrete and technical specifications

Properties and weight of concrete bollards

Our concrete bollards are made from high-strength heavy concrete with a density of up to 2.4 kg/dm³. The material meets the quality requirements of structural concrete according to EN 206 and is characterized by high compressive strength, dimensional accuracy, and long-term durability. The TW concrete bollard has a height of 1 meter and a lower diameter of 56 cm, resulting in a total weight of 370 kg. The upper diameter of 38 cm creates the characteristic conical shape, which is both structurally efficient and visually well-defined. Due to its solid construction, additional anchoring is often unnecessary—particularly for indoor applications or installation on paved surfaces.

Coating and surface treatment

The surface can be painted in various RAL colors. Tenwinkel uses tested coating systems for both metal and concrete components—the same high-quality coatings applied to the company’s crane testing systems (e.g. RAL 3020 Traffic Red, RAL 7035 Light Grey). The in-house paint department ensures consistent quality and precise color matching to the surrounding environment or the customer’s corporate design. Four integrated reflectors improve visibility in low-light conditions and support compliance with DGUV principles for workplace traffic safety.

Manufacturing and quality assurance
